zendframework/zend-form
Zend Form provides form building, elements, fieldsets, collections, input filters, validation integration, and view helpers for Zend Framework applications. This package is abandoned and superseded by laminas/laminas-form.

Look elsewhere when:
FormRequest + validation rules + Blade components, or Livewire/Filament for dynamic admin forms. The bridging cost (Zend\ServiceManager, Zend\View helpers, PSR-7 assumptions) exceeds the benefit.laminas/laminas-form — the maintained successor — not this package.@error directives). Native wins decisively. To executives: This is an archived 2019 component from the discontinued Zend Framework. It is not a strategic dependency and we should not adopt it for new work. Where it already exists in our codebase, it represents unpatched maintenance risk; the fix is a funded migration to its maintained successor or to Laravel-native form handling. License is BSD-3-Clause — permissive, no legal friction — so the concern is engineering risk, not licensing.
To engineering: Treat it as a reference implementation, not a dependency. It offers a clean separation of elements, input filters, validators, hydration, and rendering — worth borrowing conceptually. In Laravel, ~80% of typical form needs are covered by FormRequest and Blade components at a fraction of the integration cost. If we must keep it, pin the version, isolate it behind our own form abstraction, and schedule migration to laminas/laminas-form or replacement.
