Integrates Google Analytics Enhanced Ecommerce with Sylius, automatically tracking product impressions, detail views, cart additions and removals, checkout steps, and purchases so you can analyze shopping behavior and conversions without writing custom tracking code.
dataLayer payloads (product impressions, product detail views, add-to-cart, checkout funnel steps, transactions) into Sylius storefront pages via Twig templates and event listeners. That maps directly to an "instrument the purchase funnel" epic rather than a vague "add analytics" line item.id, name, category, brand, variant, price, quantity, list, position, step). That is reusable as an internal data contract for any analytics vendor, including GA4.Consider it when:
Look elsewhere (or build) when:
dataLayer is not the GA4 model (GA4 uses its own purchase, add_to_cart, view_item, begin_checkout event schema). This bundle predates GA4 by years and does not address it.For executives (30-second version): This is a small, MIT-licensed plugin that connects a Sylius storefront to Google Analytics e-commerce reporting — cart adds, checkout steps, and purchases show up as funnel data. The upside is that it is free and does one thing clearly. The downside is decisive: it has not been released since December 2016, has a handful of stars, no downstream dependents, and targets a Google Analytics model (Universal Analytics Enhanced E-Commerce) that Google has since superseded with GA4. Recommendation: do not adopt it as a dependency. Budget a short spike to mine it for its event taxonomy, then build a thin, maintained in-house tracking layer (or use Google Tag Manager) sized at roughly one sprint. That gets us the funnel visibility without inheriting nine-year-old code as a production liability.
