wamesk/laravel-nova-action-toolbar
Add a configurable action toolbar to Laravel Nova resources. Group frequently used actions and run them directly from the index view, keeping bulk operations within reach and your Nova UI tidy. Simple to install, easy to customize.
/nova-api/{resource}/actions payloads and relationship params, buying/ adopting is the cheaper path.GET only happens on click for field-bearing actions. That keeps the index payload clean and makes the cost per-interaction rather than per-page — an acceptable trade you should still validate against your latency targets if your staff are on high-latency connections.Consider it when all of the following hold:
Look elsewhere when:
For executives (one paragraph): This is a small, low-risk add-on to our existing admin panel that removes friction from repetitive back-office work. The latest release fixes a real gap — staff can now complete in-row actions that require input (giving a reason, entering an amount) directly from the list they work in, rather than opening each record. The impact is measured in operator minutes per task, not revenue, so judge it as an efficiency line item: cheap to trial, easy to remove, and it fails gracefully (if the per-row form can't load, the original form opens with an explanatory error rather than silently breaking).
For engineering (one paragraph): The toolbar renders Nova actions persistently on index, detail, and table rows. Release 5.0.1 changes row-level field resolution: instead of relying on the index payload — which carries action fields but no record identity — a field-bearing row action now fetches GET /nova-api/{resource}/actions?resourceId={id} (same call as the detail page, including via-relationship params) and shows a spinner until it resolves. Fieldless actions remain fire-and-forget with no added request; index toolbar and detail page are unchanged; request failure falls back to the original form plus an error toast. Two asks before adoption: pin the package version and add an integration test that asserts a field-bearing row action submits the correct record ID, because the dependency is on an internal Nova endpoint that can shift between Nova majors; and capture p95 latency for that extra request on your slowest operator network.
