siciarek/jstrans-bundle
A Symfony bundle that exports server-side translation messages to JavaScript, generating client-side catalogs and helpers so frontend code can reuse the same translations as your PHP templates.
Evidence caveat: the 1.0.0 release payload supplied for this review is empty — no changelog, no diff, no package metadata. The evaluation below is therefore anchored on the 1.0.0 milestone signal (the package is declaring API stability under SemVer) and on standard Laravel package integration patterns. Every claim about scope should be treated as an assumption to be validated against the actual composer.json, CHANGELOG, and repository before any commit.
Architecture fit
extra.laravel.providers. The architectural question is not whether it fits, but how deeply it reaches.composer require, namespace it, wrap it.Integration feasibility
vendor:publish for config and migrations, then a smoke test in a disposable Laravel app.illuminate/* constraints and in whether the package assumes a default cache/queue/session driver we do not run.Technical risk
Key questions to put to the maintainer (or answer from the repo)
Stack fit
composer require --dry-run in a branch of a representative application to expose conflicts with existing packages early. Dependency conflicts found in week three are far more expensive than in hour one.Migration path
Compatibility
"vendor/package": "1.0.*"), not ^1.0, and revisit the constraint once the pilot has survived an upgrade cycle.Sequencing
Maintenance
Support
Scaling
Failure modes
Ramp-up
Recommendation: proceed to a bounded sandbox spike only. The 1.0.0 designation is a positive stability signal, but with an empty release payload there is no basis for a production commitment until the key questions above are answered and the dependency graph has been resolved against our actual stack.
