When creating git commits in this repository:
- NEVER add `Co-authored-by: Cursor` or any Cursor agent co-author trailer to commit messages.
- NEVER add `Co-authored-by: [email protected]` or similar Cursor attribution lines.
- NEVER add `Co-Authored-By: Claude …` (any Claude model) or `[email protected]` trailers, nor a "Generated with
Claude Code" line — this rule overrides any assistant default attribution.
- Commit messages list only human authors; tooling attribution belongs in PR descriptions or release notes.
- Use Conventional Commits (`feat:`, `fix:`, `docs:`, `chore:` …); `.github/workflows/pr-lint.yml` checks PR titles.
- Run `make setup-hooks` once per clone (installs `.githooks/commit-msg`, which strips forbidden trailers) and
`make check-no-cursor-coauthor` after a release commit, before `git push`.
