pbweb/audit-bundle
Symfony bundle for auditing Doctrine entities: it automatically tracks create, update, and delete changes through Doctrine listeners, recording who changed what and when. Configurable storage and a simple API make it easy to review entity change history in your application.
Consider it only when all of the following hold:
Look elsewhere when:
damienharper/auditor-bundle, simplethings/entity-audit, or framework-native event/observer logging. To executives: "We identified a small MIT-licensed audit-logging bundle as a possible shortcut for change history. It's cheap to trial but has essentially no adoption or community support, so treating it as a dependency is a maintenance and continuity liability. My recommendation is not to adopt it as-is — either use a maintained alternative, or fund a short spike to fork it if the approach fits our needs. This is a low-cost evaluation, not a platform commitment."
To engineering: "It's a Symfony/Doctrine audit bundle using listener-based change tracking. Useful as a reference pattern and a possible minimal fork; not Laravel-compatible. With zero dependents there's no production battle-testing, so if we proceed we vendor it, pin the version, and add our own tests around the entity set."
Decision ask: approve a 2–3 day spike to assess fit — or redirect the team to a maintained package or an in-house audit table build.
