Docs Hub - new

Build several independent documentation sets into one site:

Each entry mounts at /{slug}/ with one sidebar dropdown option; the root forwards to the first entry.

Versioned docs - refined

The existing versions() feature keeps its contract and gains a pill switcher on every page (replacing the header dropdown) plus per-version sidebar order through a navigation key.

Remote sources - new

docsmith sync pulls Markdown from any Git host over smart HTTPS: no git binary, no clones, incremental sync via docsmith.sources.lock.json, atomic materialization with safety guards. Private repositories are supported through mrpunyapal/git-reader 0.2: set token => ${ENV_VAR} in docsmith.sources.php, or rely on DOCSMITH_TOKEN / GITHUB_TOKEN fallbacks, or place values in a .env file next to your manifest (real environment variables always win; the .env is loaded automatically during sync and build --sync).

Fixed

• Rebuilt sites kept stale assets/app.js and assets/app.css forever, which broke the theme toggle and hub dropdown after upgrading. Root assets are now refreshed on every build.

• Remote Sources - "docsmith sync" / RemoteSources::sync() pulls Markdown from any Git host over smart HTTPS (no git binary, no clones) into md/. Works for single, versioned, and hub builds alike.

Fixed

• Stale root assets on rebuilt sites: old app.js/app.css survived rebuilds and broke the theme toggle and hub select after upgrading.

All three features are independent - each works alone, none depends on another.

Fixes

• Breadcrumb 404 on nested pages without a section index. Directory crumbs now resolve to the section's index.html when it exists, otherwise to the first page inside that directory (respecting frontmatter order / navigation sort) instead of linking to a page that was never generated.

What's new

• navigationOrder() — configure the sidebar page sequence by matching page title, sidebar_label, relative Markdown path, or output path. Unlisted pages keep their existing order.
• Scrollable tables — markdown tables are wrapped in horizontally scrollable containers so they never overflow the page.
• Code blocks — trailing newlines are trimmed before highlighting.
• Docs UI polish
  • Copy button anchored to the active code block's top-right; visible on hover on pointer devices, always visible over the active block on touch devices.
  • Long tokens wrap gracefully; tables scroll internally without page overflow.
  • Mobile drawer aligns flush below the sticky header; modern two-bar hamburger toggles to a close (X) icon.
• OG cards — refreshed slate design with line-clamped title/description.
• Accessibility — aria-label on the DocSmith attribution badge.

• Added a configurable "Built with DocSmith" attribution badge at the bottom of the sidebar.
  • Shown by default; disable via ->showDocsmithBadge(false), the showDocsmithBadge: false static API arg, or --no-docsmith-badge on the CLI.
  • Styled to match the docs theme (accent heart icon + wordmark; borderless and minimal).
• Documented the badge in the Usage docs and CLI reference.
