Laravel Package Skeleton Laravel Package

First release under the new package name marekmiklusek/laravel-package-skeleton.

A full modernization of the skeleton — new toolchain, real tests, and a CI pipeline that actually fails when something breaks.

⚠️ Breaking changes

• Package renamed to marekmiklusek/laravel-package-skeleton. The old marekmiklusek/package-skeleton is retired.
• PHP 8.4+ required (was 8.3).
• Laravel 13 required (was 12).
• The package now depends on illuminate/support instead of laravel/framework, so it no longer forces a framework version on the projects that use it.

Testing

• Pest 5 with Orchestra Testbench 11 — feature tests boot a real Laravel application, unit tests run without one.
• Arch tests enforcing strict types, final classes and no leftover debug calls.
• 100% code coverage and 100% type coverage, both enforced.
• The old placeholder test asserting true === true is gone.

Static analysis and code style

• PHPStan (Larastan) at level max over src and tests, with the Pest PHPStan extension.
• Rector covers tests as well, with import cleanup and caching.
• Pint ruleset trimmed from 21 to 15 rules — six were identical to the laravel preset.

CI

• Four jobs collapsed into a single composer test matrix across PHP 8.4 / 8.5 and lowest / highest dependencies.
• Fixed a real bug: the old Pint step ran without --test, so it rewrote files instead of failing the build.
• Triggers now cover pull requests, not just pushes.

Added

• LICENSE.md — the README linked to it, but the file never existed.
• CHANGELOG.md, .editorconfig, .gitattributes with export-ignore rules.
• Dependabot for Composer and GitHub Actions, grouped into weekly PRs.
• An SVG README banner.
