Filament Dicebear Laravel Package

What's Changed

Upgrades the plugin to DiceBear v10. This is a major release: see UPGRADE.md before updating.

Rendering

• Native PHP rendering by default. Avatars are generated in-process by dicebear/core + dicebear/styles, so there are no network calls or rate limits, and the output is byte-identical to the HTTP API
• HTTP driver is still available with ->driver('http') for public or self-hosted APIs. The default API version is now 10.x
• Raster formats: ->format('png' | 'jpg' | 'webp' | 'avif'), rendered by the HTTP API
• Custom styles: render your own definition JSON with ->customStyle('brand', $path) or the custom_styles config key
• Error handling: invalid options are passed to report() and fall back to the HTTP API URL instead of breaking the page

Styles

• 61 styles (was 31), including blobs, clay, gaze, marbles, planets, voxel-art and waves
• New category() (Minimalist, Characters, Scenes), isAnimated() and DiceBearStyle::animated()

Animation

• ->animated() turns on the opt-in animation of the 19 animated styles, at a speed picked by the seed
• ->animationSpeed(AnimationSpeed::Slow) fixes the speed
• Pure CSS inside the SVG, so it plays in <img> tags and respects prefers-reduced-motion
• A per-model tags filter no longer switches animation off

Options

• Every v10 core option: borderRadius, translateX/translateY, title, idRandomization, fontFamily, fontWeight, tags, and background Fill / FillStops / Angle / Order
• Options that take a range accept a fixed value or a [min, max] pair
• New options config key for global defaults using v10 names, plus animation, driver and format keys

Caching

• Cache file names now hash the options together with the DiceBear core/styles version (or the API version), so upgrading DiceBear never serves stale avatars

Breaking Changes

• scale() now takes a factor from 0 to 10 instead of a percentage
• getSize(), getRadius(), getScale(), getRotate(), getFlip(), getBackgroundColor() and getBackgroundType() were removed. Use getCoreOption() instead
• Thumbs->isMinimalist() is now false, following DiceBear's own categories
• Cache file names changed, so existing 1.x cache files are never served

Deprecations (removal in 3.0)

• radius() and backgroundType(), the radius and backgroundType option keys, the value gradientLinear, the strings 'true'/'false' for flip, the flat 1.x config keys, and style options without the Variant suffix (eyes → eyesVariant)
• Each raises an E_USER_DEPRECATED notice once per process

• Bump actions/checkout to 7.0.1

• Cache key integrity — Cache filename now includes all query params (size, radius, options, etc.) to prevent serving stale avatars when config changes
• Plugin config inheritance — HasDiceBearAvatar trait now inherits panel-registered plugin config (baseUrl, apiVersion, cache settings) instead of creating a fresh instance
• Invalid style fallback — DiceBearStyle::tryFrom() with Initials fallback prevents crashes on invalid style values
• Safe cache paths — Seeds are normalized via Str::slug() for filesystem safety
