Architecture fit: The package follows Laravel’s trait-based composition pattern via Alertable. Release 1.0.2 adds a delete alert method to that trait, extending alert lifecycle management directly on models that use Alertable. This is a natural fit for Laravel/Eloquent applications already using traits for reusable domain behavior.
Integration feasibility: Likely low effort for existing consumers: update the package, confirm the new method signature, and call it from authorized application flows. No database migration is indicated by the release note, but deletion semantics must be verified.
Technical risk: The change is additive and appears non-breaking under semver. The primary risk is destructive behavior: alert deletion may bypass authorization, audit trails, soft-delete expectations, event dispatch, or related-record cleanup if the package does not enforce those concerns.
Key questions: What is the exact method name and signature? Is deletion soft or hard? Does it authorize the caller, dispatch events, cascade relationships, or preserve audit history? Is it idempotent? Are there tests and documentation for the new behavior?

Integration Approach

Stack fit: Fits Laravel/PHP applications using Eloquent models and trait-based packages. The Alertable trait can be added to relevant models, with the new delete method available alongside existing alert operations.
Migration path: Treat 1.0.2 as a minor additive upgrade. Update via Composer in a non-production branch, run the application test suite, and verify existing alert creation/read behavior remains unchanged.
Compatibility: No breaking change is signaled by the release note. Compatibility risk is mainly behavioral: confirm whether the new method assumes specific alert model fields, relationships, authorization policies, or soft-delete configuration.
Sequencing: First validate package update and method availability in a staging environment. Then add application-level authorization and audit checks around delete-alert flows. Finally, document usage and roll out to production with monitoring for destructive operations.

Maintenance: Low incremental maintenance if the package remains semver-compliant. The team should track future changes to deletion semantics, especially if hard deletes or cascades are introduced.

Failure modes: Accidental deletion, missing authorization checks, orphaned related records, silent no-op behavior, exception handling gaps, and loss of audit history. Monitor delete-alert paths and require explicit confirmation in user-facing flows.
Ramp-up: Low for Laravel developers familiar with traits and Eloquent. Ramp-up is mostly about understanding deletion policy, authorization, and audit requirements rather than learning the package itself.
