Welcome to Akeneo PIM Product.

This repository is used to develop the Akeneo PIM product.

Practically, it means the Akeneo PIM source code is present in the src/ directory.

If you want to create a new PIM project based on Akeneo PIM, please use https://www.github.com/akeneo/pim-community-standard

If you want to contribute to the Akeneo PIM (and we will be pleased if you do!), you can fork this repository and submit a pull request.

Application Technical Information

Build the Docker image for local development

docker build --target dev -t akeneo/pim-php-dev:master .

Upgrade instructions

To upgrade Akeneo PIM to a newer version, please follow: https://docs.akeneo.com/master/migrate_pim/index.html

Note: To upgrade from 7.x.y to the new versioning schema (vYYYY.Minor, like v2026.3), make sure you have applied all the existing 7.0 branch migrations.

Versioning Policy: CalVer (Rolling)

This project uses Calendar Versioning (vYYYY.Minor).

Important: We do not follow Semantic Versioning (SemVer). We do not guarantee backwards compatibility between any two versions. Breaking changes may be introduced in any release (e.g., from v2026.1 to v2026.2).

Recommendation: To avoid unexpected breakages, lock your dependency to a specific version in composer.json:
