# Visual Editor Vue-fork
This folder is `~/Sites/statamic-addon-visual-editor-vue`. It is a copy. The site still runs `~/Sites/statamic-addon-visual-editor`. **Never edit the original.**
## Surfaces
- Kernel (not Vue): `preview.js`, `overlay-host.js`, `bridge.js`
- A CP panel: one Vue app under `resources/js/cp/surfaces/`. No import of the kernel or `cp.js`.
- Fieldtypes: own Vue files via `Statamic.component()`. Do not wrap Statamic's `replicator`, `icon`, `bard`, `grid`.
One task = one surface. After a change: `npm run isolate`.
Never write the site's `public/vendor`. Never rebuild overlay-host, preview or bridge alone. `resources/dist/build` is the editor — if a hashed file addon.js imports is gone, the toolbar is gone.
